14 Short Lectures A Short Lecture on Nothing The fact is, our whole lives just consist of us doing a lot about nothing. Because whatââ¬â¢s the point? Some say that weââ¬â¢re meant to live a, ââ¬Å"happy and healthy life,â⬠or that ââ¬Å"weââ¬â¢re here to spread joy to others.â⬠Iââ¬â¢m not saying Iââ¬â¢m against that, Iââ¬â¢m just saying that itââ¬â¢s impossible to find a certain statement proving either of those. Lifeââ¬â¢s purpose is up to interpretation. And, personally, I have interpreted that there is no point at all. This isnââ¬â¢t me having some sort of crisis where all of a sudden I canââ¬â¢t bear to live anymore. The fact that there isnââ¬â¢t an exact point to living doesnââ¬â¢t necessarily mean that you should decide to stop living. Bangambiki Habyarimana says, ââ¬Å"Don t look for meaning in life. It was meant to be lived not understood.â⬠So why should we spend our whole lives looking for something we cannot find? I think we should just live merely to live. With this being said, living to live is living for nothing really at all. (And in case you havenââ¬â¢t guessed it already) Living for nothing at all is doing a lotâ⬠¦ for nothing.
